St. Louis COVID-19 Response Fund

For the first time in Givable’s history, we will only be featuring one nonprofit for our daily feature. On Thursday, March 19, 2020 we will solely feature the St. Louis Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Fund that was created to support nonprofits serving local individuals and communities adversely affected by COVID-19. Initial needs identified by the fund are (quoted from the local COVID-19 website):

rn

    rn

  • Essential medicines and food: Ensure that essential medications and food are delivered to those who are quarantined and/or isolated;
  • rn

  • Technology: Providing technology to seniors so they can communicate while isolated; to children in order participate in online classrooms; and to families so they can stay connected;
  • rn

  • Rent/Mortgages/Utilities: To assist those who are quarantined and to those who do not have the option to work from home.
  • rn

rn

There is a possibility that thousands of people in St. Louis will need our help in the coming weeks and months, and we can ensure there is help when needed if we collectively chip in whatever we can, whenever we can.

rn

People signed up to donate through Givable will have the opportunity to direct their daily donation amount to this fund, and we encourage them to also consider clicking to give even more to the fund after you make your daily donation.

After our special fundraising effort for the COVID-19 fund, we are asking everyone to continue chipping in to give life to our region’s nonprofits. There are hundreds of local charities who are no longer able to hold vital fundraising events or provide services to people in need due to their funding disappearing. They need your help now more than ever. Learn more about joining the movement to lift up hundreds of local charities here.
